Mental Health Services Provided in a Personal Setting

黄色短视频 Counseling Services is dedicated to providing high-quality and culturally competent mental health services to all students that enhance the development of the skills, attitudes and behaviors essential for personal growth, psychological well-being and academic success.

Counseling Services provides:

  • Short-term individual, couples and group counseling services
  • Drop-in workshops on a variety of mental health topics, including mindfulness for anxiety reduction, depression and suicide prevention, harm reduction for substance use, imposter syndrome, transitioning to college and resilience.
  • Consultation and referrals to local mental health practitioners.
  • Crisis intervention services.
Counseling services are provided in a confidential manner. Information about you and your status as a client of Counseling Services remains private and confidential in accordance with ethical and legal standards.

Counseling Services is located in Edmundson Hall.

In order to make an appointment, please fill out the . A member of Counseling Services will then be in touch with you via the telephone number you provided in the form and we will schedule you with the next available appointment, usually within three to four business days.


Counseling services are provided free of charge to all students currently enrolled in credit courses at 黄色短视频. Consultation services, including workshops and health education services, are available to student organizations, Eckerd faculty and staff.

Services are provided to students on a voluntary basis and are completely confidential. That is, no information will be given to anyone without your written permission. You do not need to be referred by anyone to benefit from the services of the Counseling Center.

Individual, Couples, and Group Counseling

Counseling Services provides short-term individual, couple and group treatment to manage current concerns and distress. Most students are seen for six or fewer individual sessions. Counseling sessions are scheduled according to a plan developed by you and your therapist.

Group Counseling

Examples of groups may include: mindfulness/anxiety reduction; understanding yourself and others, relationships, trauma, eating disorders, etc.

Urgent and Emergency Counseling

Students experiencing distressing or emergency situations are seen by Counseling Services or Student Outreach Services staff as quickly as possible. Students may come to Counseling Services during regular business hours if they are in distress. After hours, contact Campus Safety and Security at 727.864.8260 or call 911 if you are in an emergency.

Substance Use

Counseling Services provides some treatment, on an outpatient basis, for individuals impacted by substance use concerns. Substance use affects those from all walks of life and those within their support system.


Counseling Services staff provides consultation services to faculty, staff and student organizations needing specialized training in psychological issues, wellness-related topics, or conflict resolution. Topical presentations are available on a variety of psychological concerns.
