滨苍听, the National Association of Colleges and Employers found that problem-solving skills top the list of what businesses look for when hiring.

The second and third-most valued skills? Analytics and the ability to work as part of a team.

Which makes a liberal arts college like Eckerd a solid choice. Inside the classroom and within our local community, you’ll work in small groups to gather and analyze information, then craft a plan to solve a problem or meet a need.

By the time you graduate, you鈥檒l be ready for anything.

Liberate yourself with liberal arts

Ever since Harvard opened its doors in 1636, liberal arts colleges like Eckerd have insisted that the best preparation for an uncertain future is a broad, “liberal” education.

That’s why every student at Eckerd takes four years of classes across a wide variety of fields鈥攁rt, literature, the natural and social sciences鈥攔egardless of their major. Often called General Education, these courses provide the skills you’ll need to thrive over the long term: critical thought, the ability to make complex decisions and a commitment to lifelong learning.

You’ll be ready for anything life throws at you.
